General rehabilitation and conditioning
Rehabilitation is a process through which a person regains their physical, psychological, social, educational and vocational potential. During rehabilitation, compensatory and biomechanical deficits are eliminated or reduced to a minimum, and in the process they can be used to restore functional movement.
The rehabilitation process includes the repair or complete recovery of anatomical damage, increased activity and the reduction of environmental barriers. Conditioning is a process in which better function of the organs, organ systems and the whole body is established and maintained through a complex exercise programme. Structured, programmed conditioning includes a regime of exercise, nutrition and rest.
