Elbow disorders
Elbow conditions such as tennis and golfer's elbow (epicondylitis) are well-known disorders that can affect this complex joint. The attachments of tendons and muscles to the bones are very complex, since the muscles and tendons of the hand and fingers end at the elbow. Intensive use, blows or the development of disease cause pain and limited movement. Around the joint there are numerous bursae and nerves, which can also be affected. Diagnostic elbow ultrasound that also covers the structures around the joint reveals a range of disease processes in the superficial bony structures and in soft tissues such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels and nerves.
After an examination and diagnostic work-up, our doctors will suggest and carry out the best treatment.
